Some Like It Hotter
Jo Wood was looking for a brand that captured the fun and extravagance of a new female Jazz band. Taking her chosen name for the project and the iconic Marilyn Monroe red sequined from ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ (also worn by the singers in the ensemble), a font reminiscent of the big band heyday and a modern colour scheme became the foundations of a logo, business cards and social media banners. A twisted musical stave turned on its side added an additional pictorial representation of the wording.
