Funeralcare Window Displays
The Co-operative asked me to develop a concept piece I had produced for a J C Atkinson exhibition. They wanted to install a version of a Reflections animated display at various sites across the uk. Each display had to be self-contained, with a simple plug and play operation mode.
Working with the team at J C Atkinson, a display housing unit was developed and built at their factory in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The coffin was mapped, animations that tranistioned between existing Reflections designs were created, and a simple loop function was programmed on a Raspberry Pi to control the final projections. Units were installed in London and the North East, with windows graphics applied onsite. New animations were created to mark the centenery of outbreak of WW1 and were installed on the displays in June 2015.
