An animated window display for the Co-operative. The display is installed at Funeralcare branches in Hayes, Middlesex and Wallsend, Tyne & Wear
Funeralcare is the number one funeral services provider in the UK and is wholly owned and run by the Co-operative, the country's largest mutual business, with over 6 million individual members and 80 Independant Co-operative Societies.
Having already commissioned for a commemoration Reflections picture coffin, Funeralcare were looking for a new sequence to use with their animated window displays to mark the centenary of beginning of the Great War.
The commissioned picture coffin utilised a number of photographic records of the war, so using this as a starting point I constructed an animated sequence and landscape using found material, and bookended the piece with two well known war poems.
